Hi and welcome to my Minutes with Monica musings!
I thought to share these notes again. I’ve been reviewing them to ensure I am on target with God’s Kingdom Wisdom, so figured we all need to have a refresher.
We must ASK God for wisdom & understanding when dealing with issues and actually wants us to ask Him how to handle situations.
James 1:5
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Wisdom is passed to us by God through the Holy Spirit.
Wisdom comes from a transformation with Jesus
James 3:13
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
Question?
Am I a different person from before believing?
Followers of Jesus who follow Jesus are, over time, transformed into someone completely different.
God wants to give me His Wisdom & Wisdom that comes from Heaven is ….
James 3:17
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Wisdom from God is…
1) PURE- wise people have a pure heart – I will put my trust in God everyday leaving on Him – living Hs Way. Purity must be 1st
Salvation leads to Sanctification
Question?
Is it a burden or desire of my heart to live God’s way?
Do I ask Him to steer me?
James 4:4, 7-8
4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Question?
How much of the world am I willing to let in my life?
He draws near to us while I draw near to Him.
When my heart is filled with the world it’s cloudy and I can’t let God in, there isn’t enough room for Him and worldly things.
Do I profess to know God but deny Him by my works? How do I treat others- how I speak and what are my actions?
Titus 1
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
Matt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

2) PEACEABLE/PEACE LOVING - Wise people love peace
Question?
Do I love peace?
Proverbs 14:29
29 Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you
I fight FOR people and God’s peace!

3) CONSIDERATE- (Consider it) Open to reason/wisdom from God. Keep from being prideful so I can hear from God.
Romans 15:1-3
We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3 For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.”

4) SUBMISSIVE – Allow Kingdom wisdom to win!
Question?
Am I willing to allow Kingdom Wisdom to win? Am I reasonable? Is it my goal to be ‘right’ or move forward?
Proverbs 12:15
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

5) FULL OF MERCY & GOOD FRUIT- Wise people bring forgiveness..
The ‘forgiven’ must learn to forgive! We bring a spirit of forgiveness everywhere. We are forgiven so we give it too. Best ‘F’ word ever!
Keeping in mind that we carry the Holy Spirit and His fruit is in us, we just need to ask Him to help us USE it!
Galatians 5: 22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Question?
Is there anything I need to stop bringing up?
What do I need to get over and work through?
James 2: 12-13
12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Will be better to stand before God having loved too much as opposed to judged too harshly.
Working through something is hard but always better route.

5) SINCERE & IMPARTIAL
Wise people are sincere and authentic.
Some interesting word studies on what these mean and how to apply them to my life.
1) Greek word for sincere and impartial:
Anupokritos: unhypocritical, unfeigned Definition: unhypocritical, unfeigned Usage: unfeigned, without hypocrisy, sincere.
In other words, don’t be a hypocrite.
2) Definition of original word hypocrite:
The word hypocrite ultimately came into English from the Greek word hypokrites, which means “an actor” or “a stage player.” The Greek word itself is a compound noun: it’s made up of two Greek words that literally translate as “an interpreter from underneath.” That bizarre compound makes more sense when you know that the actors in ancient Greek theater wore large masks to mark which character they were playing, and so they interpreted the story from underneath their masks.
Question:
Is there something I am trying to hide?
Don’t wear a mask be authentic!
With KINGDOM wisdom in my life, I never lose!
James 3:18
18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Peace makers are someone who brings peace to their nation- a person who brings about peace, especially by reconciling adversaries.
Live Radiantly… today!
