CREATING the right Environment
Part 3- From the Inside Out (a 3 mins read)
For those of you who have not read PART 1.
For those of you who have not read PART 2.
Part 3:
Over the years I have learned something both in fitness and in life…
The body responds to the environment we consistently create for it.
Not occasionally.
Not perfectly.
But consistently.
As many of you know, I have spent more than 30 years in the fitness, health and bodybuilding industry. During those 3 decades, my focus was often centered around performance, recovery, body composition, mobility, endurance and maintaining the level of conditioning required for competition, travel, photoshoots and appearances.
Back then, “creating the environment” meant structured training, intentional nutrition, quality sleep, hydration, recovery and maintaining daily habits that allowed my body to perform at a high level.
Today, while my goals have evolved, the principle remains the same.
I am still deeply interested in creating the right environment — not from a place of obsession or perfection, but from a place of stewardship and longevity.
At this stage of life, I care less about chasing extremes and more about supporting vitality, energy, circulation, recovery, cognitive function and overall wellness from the inside out especially at the age of 55.
One thing I have learned through years of experience is this:
When the body has the support it needs internally, it often responds beautifully externally.
This is one reason I have consistently focused on supporting nitric oxide production in the body for many years.
Some of you may already be familiar with nitric oxide, while others may be hearing about it for the first time. Nitric oxide, a signaling molecule, is naturally produced in the body and plays an important role in blood flow, oxygen delivery, circulation, vascular flexibility and communication between cells.
Important Note:
However, as we age our natural nitric oxide production can and will decline significantly (starting around 35/40+ years specifically).
Even though this decline is natural our actions or lack of actions can impact the rate of decline as well.
While training for SPARTAN events back in 2014 I was introduced to the science of NO by my OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) coach years ago and never looked back.
As an avid ‘LEARNER’ by heart, I eagerly consumed the research, felt the impact when using the products and realized I did not want to age without NO.
The studies were incredibly eye-opening because circulation affects so many areas of how we feel and function day to day:
Energy.
Endurance.
Recovery.
Mental clarity.
Exercise performance.
Even how efficiently oxygen and nutrients are delivered throughout the body.
After a decade of using these products consistently, supporting nitric oxide production has simply become part of my lifestyle and daily wellness routine.
And truthfully, I do not say that lightly.
Personally, I have trusted the work and research of my now friend and NO mentor, Dr. Nathan Bryan. His 25+ years of research and development in the field of nitric oxide science is one of the reasons I originally became interested in learning more about this area of health in the first place.
I had the opportunity to interview Doc while hosting ‘THE MONICA BRANT SHOW’ Live at the Olympia a couple years ago- you can tune in here if you like:

What I appreciate most is that this approach aligns with how I have grown to view health and fitness:
-Support the body.
-Create the right environment.
-Allow the body to function the way it was designed to function.
Not quick fixes.
Not extremes.
Not burnout.
Just daily choices that support wellness from within.
As I have matured, I have realized more than ever that health is not merely about appearance — it is about function, vitality, movement, energy and being able to continue living life fully with strength and purpose.
For me personally, creating the environment physically looks like:
Moving daily.
Strength training.
Hydration.
Recovery.
Rest.
Managing stress.
Nutrition.
Faith.
And supporting my body internally with the products and tools I genuinely trust and use consistently.
One of those tools has been nitric oxide support through N1O1 products.
Because many of you ask what I personally use and why, I wanted to finally share a little more about this part of my routine and why it has remained important to me for so many years.

I only share products that I personally use, trust and believe bring value.

physically, mentally and spiritually.
